WILTON — A Curve Street man told police he was robbed by two men who jumped out of a car and hit him with a gun before taking his cash and fleeing Friday night.
The Wilton Police Department is looking for Zachary Givens, 20, of Jay, whom it is calling a person of interest in the robbery, according to a news release from Chief Heidi Wilcox.
A 27-year-old man who lives on Curve Street told police that two men robbed him of cash after they jumped out of a late model white Subaru and one pointed a handgun at him before striking him on the head with it.
The man said the pair fled in the Subaru, which was being driven by a woman, Wilcox said in the press release.
He called police at about 6:30 p.m. Friday, after the attack, police said.
Police did not say whether the man knew his attackers or how much cash they took. But they urged people with any information to call the department at 645-3876.
In an email, Sgt. Richard Billian Jr. said the department was only releasing the information contained in the press release. Further details will follow this week, he wrote.
Curve Street connects Weld Road and Main Street.
