FARMINGTON — The Farmington Warming Center program will resume on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January, February and March at a variety of locations. Hours will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Come for coffee and conversation, to make a puzzle, or play a game.
At noon, participants are welcome to stay for lunch provided by Seniors Plus. There is a suggested $3 donation for the meal to help defray the cost, but any donation will be appreciated.
Soups and snacks will be provided by community friends. A 24-hour advanced notice for a meal is recommended; please call 778-2163.
The following warming centers are scheduled:
* Henderson Memorial, 110 Academy St. Tuesdays, Jan. 3, 10, 17 24, Feb. 7 and 14; 778-2163.
* St. Joseph’s, 133 Middle St. Tuesdays, Feb. 21, 28, March 6, 13, 20 and 27; 778-2778
* Old South Church, 227 Main St. will be open all Thursdays in January, February and March; 778-0424.
Volunteers are welcome. The program is not equipped to supervise childcare or adult day care. Public transportation is available for a small fee by calling Western Mountain Transportation at 800-393-9335. Please call in advance.
