The Children’s Discovery Museum would like to thank the community for their outpouring of support after two large propane tanks were stolen from the museum.
What could have been a financial hardship for the museum has instead lifted our spirits and reiterated the love this community has for the museum.
Augusta Fuel Co. suffered the greatest loss but had our heat turned on quickly and graciously waived the stolen fuel charge. Our friends at Gardiner Family Chiropractic and Emma’s Family Farm stepped in and pledged to ensure that the financial burden of our loss would be taken care of.
The emails, notes and messages of assistance and encouragement have been overwhelming. Such generosity, in these difficult economic times has lifted our hearts in what began as a sad time. During this holiday season, we are counting our blessings that we are part of Central Maine.
