WILTON — A Livermore Falls man wanted by police in connection with an armed robbery was arrested Wednesday morning.
Robert Judd, 32, was arrested at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston after police made a public plea the day before for help catching him, according to Chief Heidi Wilcox.
Judd faces a felony robbery charge tied to the Curve Street robbery Friday night in Wilton. An Auburn police officer arrested him on a warrant for the charge, and he is expected to arrive later today at Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington, where he will be held until an initial court appearance, Wilcox said.
Wilcox was awaiting a police report about the arrest before releasing further details, she said.
Police have already found a Jay man suspected of being involved in the robbery. Investigators made contact with Zachary Givens, 20, shortly after a Curve Street man reported being robbed at gunpoint Friday about 6:30 p.m. Wilcox would not comment about possible charges faced by Givens until the investigation is complete, she said.
The 27-year-old Curve Street man told police two men robbed him of cash after they jumped out of a car and one struck him on the head with a handgun after pointing it at him. The victim refused medical treatment. Police would not say if the three men knew each other.
The victim said the pair fled in the car, a late model white Subaru, which was being driven by a woman. Police have since found the car and the woman who was driving it.
