FAIRFIELD — Mary Badeen scored 13 points to lift the Messalonskee High School girls basketball team to a 38-26 win over Lawrence in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game Friday.

Messalonskee (3-0) took command by outscoring Lawrence 11-1 in the second quarter to take a 21-7 halftime lead. It was the Eagles’ second straight win by a 38-26 score.

Paige Belanger scored eight points to lead the Bulldogs (1-2).

Winslow 28, Waterville 18: The Black Raiders held the Purple Panthers to two points in the fourth quarter to hold on for the KVAC B victory in Winslow.

Winslow (1-2) led 13-7 at halftime and 20-16 at the end of the third quarter. Elizabeth Ferry led the Raiders with 12 points. Mariah Chenard added six points.

Colleen O’Donnell scored eight points for Waterville (1-2).

Rangeley 63, Valley 22: Emily Carrier and Jenney Abbott combined for 31 points to lead the Lakers to the East-West Conference win in Bingham.

Carrier scored 16 points for Rangeley (2-0) while Abbott added 15 points, 13 rebounds and five steals.

Teagan Laweryson led Valley (0-3) with seven points.

Forest Hills 66, North Haven 38: Kori Coro scored 17 points and Jocelyn Hoyt added 15 to lead the host Tigers to the East-West Conference win.

Hoyt also had 10 rebounds. Anna Carrier chipped in with 12 points and 10 rebounds for Forest Hills (3-1) while Dana McNally had 11.

North Haven (0-40 was led by Maddie Hallowell with 14 points.

Mt. Ararat 46, Erskine 23: Caitlin Lafountain had 14 points as Mt. Ararat picked up the KVAC A win over Erskine in South China.

Leah Hitchcock and Mallory Nelson each added nine points for Mt. Ararat (2-1).

Bridget Humphrey had eight points for Erskine (1-2).

Nokomis 62, MCI 14: Marissa Shaw scored a game-high 12 points to lead the Warriors to the KVAC B win in Newport. Taylor Shaw added 10 points for Nokomis (3-0) while Emilee Reynolds and Anna Mackenzie chipped in with eight apiece.

Ashley Kitchin scored five points for the Huskies (1-2).

Carrabec 52, Wiscasset 42: Emma Plunkee had 17 points and 19 rebounds as the Cobras beat the Redskins in an MVC game in North Anson.

Jocelyn Jackson added 13 points and Jessica Vaillancourt had 10 for Carrabec (1-2).

Kayla Conners had 16 points, Heidi Pinkham 12 and Brianna Gould 10 for Wiscasset (0-3).
