WATERVILLE — The Hannaford Charitable Foundation recently presented the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter with $5,000 for the Rebuilding Lives campaign.

The money will help the shelter provide struggling individuals with shelter and help regaining independence. The shelter works with other organizations on healthy eating programs, teaching parents how to foster healthy play and programs that help guests maintain and improve health as they work to rebuild their lives.

The campaign has approximately $200,000 to raise to complete its $2,750,000 goal. The shelter recently received a challenge match for endowment gifts to help complete the campaign by Dec. 31.
