SKOWHEGAN — Donna Cassese and Robert Haynes of Skowhegan have announced the engagement of their daughter, Elena Haynes of South Portland to Samuel Glidden, of South Portland, son of Jane and Rodny Glidden of Palermo.
Elena is a 2005 graduate of Hebron Academy and a 2009 graduate of Manhattanville College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She is a teacher at Woodfords Family Services in Westbrook.
Samuel is a 2005 graduate of Erskine Academy and a 2009 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, earning a Bachelor of Science in Surveying Engineering Technology. He is a surveyor at Owen Haskell Inc. Professional Land Surveyors in Falmouth.
A September 2012 wedding is planned.
