In this upcoming presidential election, lots of voters are undecided, and, as an independent, I have not hung my hat on anyone’s hook yet.
I watched the Dec. 10 Republican debate and was not impressed by the frontrunners, Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich, and I don’t believe that either one can beat Barack Obama.
I did, however, see a sliver of hope that the country can be saved in Ron Paul.
His promise of not being the world’s policeman anymore is just the sort of drastic move that will cause the least amount of pain for Americans that we need at this time.
We can make all the domestic cuts that we want to and even raise taxes, but if we don’t stop spending overseas not only will we fail to fix the problem, but our country could collapse.
A vote for Romney, on the other hand, will be a vote for a war with Iran. Romney has vowed to never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon and the only way to do that is to invade Iran, which could bankrupt America.
Paul is the most sensible and realistic Republican.
