WINTHROP — Thomas Applegate had 17 points as the St. Dom’s boys basketball team beat Winthrop 43-34 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Saturday.
Joseph Bryant added 11 points and Eric Ulin added six for St. Dom’s (2-2).
Hunter Kilgore scored 12 points and Chase Hopkins added nine to lead the Ramblers (0-4). Hopkins also had five rebounds and two steals.
Erskine 56, Mt. Ararat 45: Senior guard Tom Grady scored 17 points and shot 8-of-9 from the free-throw line, to lead Erskine to a win in Topsham on Friday.
Devin Duncan added 13 points for Erskine (2-1), which pulled away late by hitting 9 of 13 free throws during the fourth quarter.
Senior forward Brett Martin and senior guard D.J. Cole each scored 10 points for Mt. Ararat (0-3).
Greenville 59, Richmond 38: Chris Munro had 14 points to lead three players in double figures as the Lakers beat the Bobcats in Greenville on Friday night.
Matt DeAngelo added 12 points and Howie Stone 10 for Greenville (2-1).
Ben Carver had 14 points and Sean Bernier had 12 for Richmond (0-3).
