Construction workers attach an electrical conductor Tuesday to a transmission line tower being erected on Browns Island between Farmingdale and Chelsea on the Kennebec River. Two towers more than 100 feet high are being installed to replace the utility poles that previously held electrical lines spanning the river as part of Central Maine Power’s multimillion dollar upgrade to transmission lines across Maine.
