FAIRFIELD — Private First Class Casey D. Wadleigh, 18, of Fairfield recently graduated from the United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C.. He successfully completed 13 weeks of basic training at MCRD Parris Island, as one of 79 recruits in training platoon 3102.

While in training, he earned the title of expert shooter and was the high shooter in his platoon. Following leave, he will report to Camp LeJeune, N.C. for one month at military combat training then followed by military occupation specialty school, where he will be trained to be an electrical equipment engineer.
