WATERVILLE — The following parenting classes will be offered beginning Wednesday, Jan. 4:

* KVCAP’s 1, 2, 3, 4 Parents: Parenting Young Children is a challenge to all will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 4, 11 and 18, at Waterville KVCAP in the Shirley Damren Room.

This class will also be offered 12:30-2:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 10, 17, and 24, at the Augusta KVCAP Board Room.

New information on parenting and child behavior is available for parents and care providers of children ages 1-4. In this series of three two-hour classes, participants will learn discipline methods, how to prevent tantrums, establish routines, and more.

This class consists of video vignettes, discussion and activities. A parenting guidebook will also be included.

* Active Parenting Now: Do You Ever Wonder if There is a Better Way to Handle Some of Those Daily Parenting Challenges? will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 18, 25 and Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22, at Waterville KVCAP, Drapeau Room.

The six-session video and discussion program is for parents and care providers of children ages 5-12. It is designed to help raise responsible children by using effective discipline techniques and encouragement skills.
