The Dec. 23 front page was wonderful. Telling people how to behave when confronted by an armed robber was great advice and well worth the front page space.

As the father of two daughters, I warned them time and time again that if they were ever confronted by anyone who demands that they get into a vehicle, they should run or fight it out right there.

Under no circumstances were they ever to get in a vehicle because that would in all likelihood be a death sentence.

Your paper has done a great service to our community, and I thank you. Many local citizens are extremely concerned over the kidnapping at the Augusta Walmart. Now they know how best to combat this dreaded situation if it should happen to them.
