KENTS HILL — Dakota Bowie scored an unassisted goal at 5:28 of overtime as the Cony High School boys hockey team beat Gray-New Gloucester/Poland 3-2 on Wednesday.

Cony (3-1-0) took 2-0 lead on second-period goals by Galen Casey and Keiffer Cantara. GNG/Poland (2-2-0) rallied with a pair of goals in the third period by Adam Healy.

Bowie, Cantara and Casey each also had an assist for the Rams. Matt Swan earned the win with 23 saves.

Calvin Shelley had 27 saves for GNG/Poland.

Messalonskee 12, Lawrence 0: Sam Dexter scored five goals to lead the Eagles to the Class B win in Winslow.

Jake Dexter added two goals while Chase Cunningham, J.T. Towle, Billy Blake, James Varney and Shawn Veilleux each scored once.

Nate Delgiudice made nine saves in goal for Messalonskee (3-1-0) while Ben Weeks had 10 for Lawrence (2-4-0).

MHW 3, Edward Little 0: The Hawks scored three times in the third period to beat the Eddies in Kents Hill.

Jared Hanson, Matt Plourde and Nick Lacasse all scored for MHW (3-2-0). Dan Condon added two assists, while Plourde, Ian Palmer and Cameron McMillan each had one. Tyler Plante earned the win with 11 saves.

Alan Nelson had 32 saves for Edward Little (1-3-0).

Skowhegan 2, Gardiner 1: Tyler Savage’s third-period goal powered the Indians to the victory at Sukee Arena in Winslow. Ryal Gove assisted. Trey Michonski gave Skowhegan a 1-0 lead in the first period with assists going to Gove and Jake Johnson. The Tigers ted the game on a third period goal from Seth Wing assisted by Josh Moore.

Brad Moore made 16 saves in goal for Gardiner (2-3-0) while Sam Edmondson made 28 stops for Skowhegan (3-1-1).

Girls basketball

Spruce Mountain 35, Hall-Dale 31: Kathryn Ventrella scored 10 points as the Class B Phoenix beat handed the Class C Bulldogs their first loss of the season, in Jay.

Hall-Dale (5-1) leading scorer Carylanne Wolfington was held to eight points by Spruce Mountain (5-0).

Gardiner 50, Oceanside 41: Jenna Moore had eight points and six assists as the Tigers won in Gardiner.

Paige Pilsbury had 14 points to lead the Tigers (6-0). Ally Day added 12.

Rachel Frye and Kennadi Grover each had eight for Oceanside (2-3).

Monmouth 40, Carrabec 33: Kylie Kemp had 11 points as the Mustangs beat the Cobras in an MVC game in North Anson.

Colby Wilson added 10 points for Monmouth (3-2).

Emma Pluntke had six points and 10 rebounds, while Macy Andrews had nine points and seven rebounds for Carrabec (1-4). Jocelyn Jackson had 11 points.

Oak Hill 43, Lincoln 28: Darby Beaulieu had 14 points as the Raiders beat the Eagles in a KVAC B game in Wales.

Sadie Goulet added 13 points for Oak Hill (1-5).

Jen Genthner had 10 points for Lincoln Academy (0-6).

Boys basketball

Waterville 49, Leavitt 43: The Panthers held the Hornets to just 14 points in the second half in a KVAC B game in Waterville.

Josh Gormley scored 13 points and J.P. Michaud had 12 points and 12 rebounds for Waterville, which improves to 3-3.

Max Brown added six steals for the Panthers.

Jordan Hersom had 16 points for Leavitt (5-1).
