FARMINGTON — The Sandy River Recycling Association will recycle five additional types of plastic, they are: 1 (non-beverage), 3, 4, 5 and 7.

Member towns received letters advising them to prepare to accept the plastics from residents by setting up a plastic bag lined barrel lined at each transfer station.

A metal sign will direct residents to place the appropriate plastics in the single barrel. The numbers, found on the bottom of the containers, distinguishes the different kinds of plastics.
