AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library, 45 Winthrop St., will host the first in a series of free informational programs about hospice on Tuesday.

Kelly Herlihy, volunteer coordinator at Beacon Hospice in Augusta, will provide an overview of what hospice is and who benefits from its services. There will be handouts and an opportunity to ask questions.

Programs will take place from 2 to 4 p.m., on the second Tuesday of every month. The next programs will take place on Feb. 14 and March 13.
