Bert Languet sprays a fresh layer of water onto the new community ice rink outside the Alfond Youth Center on North Street in Waterville on Thursday. Starting today, the rink will be open Sunday through Thursday from sunrise to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from sunrise to 9 p.m.
