FAIRFIELD — Alcee and Cecile Vigue of Fairfield celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 13, 2011, at Eric’s Restaurant.
Mr. Vigue and the former Cecile Poulin were married Aug. 30, 1941, at Notre Dame Church in Waterville by Rev. Rene Caouette.
Mrs. Vigue was employed at Chi Rho Shoppe in Waterville.
Mr. Vigue was employed at Keyes Fibre Company in Waterville.
The couple have four children, Jeanne Mason (Richard) of Dearborn, Mich., Robert Vigue (Nancy) of Castle Hill, Patricia Bolduc (Bruce) of Waterville, and Thomas Vigue (Eileen Fingerman) of Sidney; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Guests attended from Ohio, Michigan, Washington, D.C., Boston, Aroostook County and Southern Maine.
