HOULTON — Sam Dexter scored four goals and Chase Cunningham added a goal and four assists as the Messalonskee boys hockey team beat Houlton/Hodgdon 7-1 in an Eastern Maine Class B game Saturday.

James Varney and Billy Blake also scored for Messalonskee (5-1-0). Nate DelGiudice and Ben Weeks combined to make 21 saves.

Brandon Ward scored an unassisetd goal for Houlton/Hodgdon (1-7-0).

Old Town 4, Skowhegan 1: Trevor Francis had two goals and an assist as the Coyotes beat the Indians in Orono on Friday night.

Kyle Dubay added a goal and an assists, while David Wilcox had one goal for Old Town (3-2-0). Alex Ross earned the win with 31 saves.

Kyle Carrier had 44 saves for Skowhegan (3-3-1). Anthony Paul scored the Indians’ lone goal with assists from Chase Whittemore and Kameron Nelson.

Girls basketball

Mt. Abram 38, St. Dom’s 19: Miranda Smith scored 19 points and Annie Dexter added eight to lead the Roadrunners.

Tori Beane also contributed with five points for Mt. Abram (4-4).

Mary Caron scored a team-high 10 points to lead the Saints (2-6).

Monmouth 37, Carrabec 35: In North Anson, the Mustangs took a 19-11 lead at the half and held on for the win.

Kristine Kahl led Monmouth (4-5) with 20 points while Kylie Kemp added nine.

The Cobras (2-6) did cut the lead to a point in the fourth quarter on back-to-back 3-pointers from Jessica Vaillancourt and Skyla Murray.

MCI 27, Lincoln 25: Ashley Kitchen had 17 points as the Huskies beat the Eagles in a KVAC B game Friday in Pittsfield.

Madison 45, Lisbon 39: Sam Bruce had 13 points as the Bulldogs won an MVC game in Lisbon.
Lyndsay Weese added 10 points for Madison (8-0).

Jessica Campbell and Denise Thomas both had nine points for Lisbon (3-5).
