Angela Parkhill catches her daughter Jennie, 4, as she tries ice skating for the first time on Friday at Alfond Youth Center’s community ice rink on North Avenue in Waterville. The rink will be open from sunrise to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and sunrise to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
