AUGUSTA — Police and firefighters are responding to Water Street where a tractor-trailer has rolled onto its side.
The accident occurred near the train trestle.
First responders report heavy traffic delays and large amounts of fluids leaking from the truck.
There were no reports of injury.
The crash occured around 3 p.m.
Drivers are encouraged to steer clear of the area. A portion of the street has been closed while crews work to remove the truck.
The low-hanging train trestle is routinely hit by large trucks whose drivers fail to notice signs warning of the short clearance.
Additional details of the crash were not available.
