KENTS HILL — Kents Hill senior O’Shea Bell scored 29 points, including the 1,000th of his career, to lead the Huskies to a 71-48 victory against Brewster Academy in New England Prep School Athletic Conference basketball action Wednesday.

Bell, who is a New York City native, needed seven points to reach 1,000 coming into the game.

“He used to be all about just going to the rim,” Kents Hill coach R.J. Jenkins said of the 5-foot-9 guard. “He’s diversified his game. He’s a pretty good outside shooter now. He’s quick, he’s relentless. He doesn’t give up.”

Robin Bodin and Cam Dow each added 12 points for the Huskies (3-2) while Cam Johnson scored 16 and Justin Dee 14 for Brewster (1-5).

Richmond 79, Highview 8: Tyler Harrington had 23 points and 13 rebounds as the Bobcats cruised in Richmond.

Evan Esancy added 10 points and Marcus Blake had four steals for Richmond (3-5).

Girls basketball

Wiscasset 36, Winthrop 21: Kayla Connors had 12 points in a win over the Ramblers in Winthrop.
Jessica Scott had seven points to lead Winthrop (0-8).

Monmouth 43,  Wiscasset 22: Kristine Kahl scored 13 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to led the Mustangs to the Mountain Valley Conference win Tuesday night.

Kylie Kemp scored 10 points for Monmouth (5-5) while teammates Daisy Poole and Melissa Broussard added seven rebounds and nine points, respectively. Kayla Connors led Wiscasset (0-8) with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Boys hockey

MHW 4, Cony 3: Dan Condon’s goal with 14 second left to play lifted the Maranacook/Hall-Dale/Winthrop Hawks to the Class A win in Kents Hill on Tuesday.

Condon scored a hat trick for the Hawks while Jared Hanson added a goal and an assist. Dylan Cheever, Tyler Leet and Keifer Cantara scored for Cony.

Tyler Plante made 26 saves for MHW (6-2-0) while Matt Swan had 29 stops for Cony (4-3-0).
