Augusta Fire Dept. Battalion Chief Dave Groder walks around a tractor-trailer that rolled over about 3 p.m. Wednesday after striking the train trestle on Water Street, shutting down a portion of the road for about three hours.

The driver, who identified himself as Ali Farh, 48, of Columbus, Ohio, told police that he didn’t see the road clearance sign on the trestle.

Farh, who was not injured, was issued a summons for failing to obey the road sign and the tractor-trailer was towed away.

“I’ve never seen that happen before,” said Augusta Police Sgt. Christopher Shaw.
