PALMYRA — The Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce annual banquet and awards will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, at Millennium on Route 100. Featured speaker will be Cianbro CEO Peter Vigue, a longtime member and supporter of the Chamber. Awards will be presented for the Business of the Year and the annual Joyce Packard Community Spirit Award.

New Chamber directors and officers will be formally seated as part of annual business. These will include: Angel Quick of Skowhegan Savings Bank as president; Mindy Nyman of Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union as vice president, Judi Young of Peoples United Bank as treasurer; and Mickey Young of Cianbro as secretary.

New directors joining the board include: Russell Chretien of United Insurance-Lehr Agency, Karen Zelkan of Sebasticook Family Doctors and Kathryn Ruth, Pittsfield Town Manager.

Returning to the board for another term are Mindy Nyman, George Lougee and Judi Young.

Dinner tickets cost $25 each. Table sponsors receives 10 tickets with their sponsorship payment. Sponsorship opportunity information is available online at ourchamber.org. The planning committee is also soliciting donations for the annual silent auction held in conjunction with the dinner meeting. Donations may be dropped off at the Chamber office in the Walmart parking lot or with a member of the planning committee.

Anyone planning to participate either as an individual, business,or potential member is encouraged to get reservations in early. Menu choices should be submitted by Friday, Feb. 3.
