GARDINER — Aaron Toman scored 27 points and hauled in nine rebounds to lead Gardiner to a key 77-60 win over Camden Hills in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B boys basketball action Saturday.

Jake Palmer added 14 points and five assists for Gardiner, which jumped out to a 46-25 halftime lead. Alonzo Connor chipped in with six points and 10 rebounds while Matt Hall had 14 points. Gardiner improves to 9-1.

Camden Hills (7-3) was led by Adam Carlsen with 19 points and Andrew Flanagan with 13.

Waterville 78, Oak Hill 41: Max Brown scored a game-high 27 points and Josh Gormley added 11 to lead the Purple Panthers to the KVAC B win.

Gormley also added eight assists while Alan Wood scored 10 point for Waterville (5-5). Brandon Braley scored nine points for the victors.

Sam Morin scored 24 points and Kelsey Lamouth added eight to pace the Raiders (0-10).

Wiscasset 50, Winthrop 43: Jordan Jones scored 14 points to lead the visiting Wolverines to the Mountain Valley Conference win. Devin Grover added nine points for Wiscasset (3-5).

Taylor Morang scored 20 points to lead the Ramblers (2-8) while Hunter Kilgore chipped in with eight.

Vinalhaven 53, Richmond 31: Scott James scored 14 points to lead the host Vikings to the East-West Conference win. Brian Stanley added 10 points for Vinalhaven (7-3).

Ben Carver led Richmond (3-7) with nine points while Randy Moody had seven.

On Friday night, Vinalhaven won 62-41. Stanley led the Vikings with 21 points while Carver led the Bobcats with 14 points.

Hall-Dale 59, Monmouth 34: Brad Shepherd had 13 points and the Mustangs jumped out to a 20-4 lead in the first quarter to beat the Mustangs in an MVC game in Farmingdale.

Sam Shepherd added seven points and nine blocks for Hall-Dale (7-3).

Drew McFarren scored 10 points for Monmouth (2-8).

Hockey

St. Dominic 5, MHW 3: Chris Finley scored a pair of third period goals as the Saints won an Eastern A game in Lewiston.

MHW (6-3-0) fell behind 3-0, but rallied to within a goal on a pair of second period goals by Dan Condon. Jared Hanson added a goal in the third period for MHW, while Matt Plourde had three assists. Condon and Jason Laporte each added an assist for the Hawks, while Tyler Plante had 20 saves.

Dan Nadeau scored twice in the first period for St. Dom’s (4-2-0). Will Desmaris also scored, while Grant Carrier had 13 saves.
