WATERVILLE — Brandon Braley made two free throws with five seconds left and the Waterville Senior High School boys basketball team beat Oceanside 56-55 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Friday night.

Oceanside (8-4) had a chance for the win at the buzzer, but Shae Davenport’s 3-point attempt came up short. Davenport finished with 15 points while Isaiah Stone-Patterson added 13 for the Mariners.

J.P. Michaud scored 12 points while Braley finished with eight for the Panthers (7-5). Michaud also had 10 rebounds.

Lawrence 66, Brewer 53: Spencer Carey finished with a double-double (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Tim Dudley added 17 points to lead Lawrence to the Eastern A victory in Brewer. Shaun Carroll scored 11 points and Alex Leathers added 10 for the Bulldogs (9-3).

Ian Burgess scored 15 points and Yuhi Sasaki added 12 for Brewer (5-7).

Forest Hills 82, Acadia Christian 41: Evan Worster had 36 points and 21 rebounds to lead the Tigers to the Class D win.

Brandon Ouellette added 15 points and six steals for Forest Hills (9-3) while Derek Ouellette finished with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Brandon Hagon had 27 points for Acadia (6-4).

Gardiner 68, Nokomis 50:
Alonzo Connor had 17 points and seven rebounds to lead the Tigers to a KVAC B win in Newport.

Jake Palmer led Gardiner (11-1) with 24 points, while Matt Hall added 11 points and Aaron Toman chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Ethan Pearl scored 12 points and Spencer Hartsgrove had 11 for Nokomis (8-3).

Mt. Blue 77, Skowhegan 49: Nick Hilton scored 22 points to lead the Cougars to the KVAC Class A win in Skowhegan.

Cam Sennick added 15 points for the winners while Steve Yardley and Blake Hart scored 10 each.

Skowhegan’s Levi Barnes scored a game-high 28 points. Mt. Blue is 9-3, Skowhegan is 3-9.

Erskine 56, Messalonskee 45: Tyler Belanger had 11 points and 10 rebounds to lead Erskine to the KVAC B win in South China.

Devin Duncan added 15 points for Erskine (5-7) while Tom Grady scored 13.

Elijah Steele scored eight points and Luke Vigue had seven for Messalonskee (1-11).

Mountain Valley 67, Madison 61, OT:
Jacob Theriault scored 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Falcons in overtime.

Mountain Valley (6-4) made seven of its nine free throws in overtime to secure the victory. Zac Radcliffe added 22 points for the Falcons.

M.J. Flanders scored 18 points for Madison (5-6).

Richmond 44, Valley 39, OT: The host Bobcats outscored the Cavaliers 7-2 in overtime to earn the East-West Conference upset Thursday.

Randy Moody scored 16 points to lead Richmond (4-8), which trailed 34-27 heading into the fourth quarter when it outscored Valley 10-3. Ben Carver added 10 points.

Valley (8-3) was led by Caleb Wade with 15 points and Josh West with 12.

Medomak Valley 75, Mt. View 51: Isaac Greenrose scored 25 points as the Panthers beat the Mustangs in a KVAC B game in Waldoboro.

Shane Osier added 18 points and Ryan Ripley 14 for Medomak Valley.

Bobby Porter scored 15 points, while Craig Nealley and Taylor Reynolds each scored for Mt. View.

Messalonskee 6, Orono 3: Chase Cunningham and Sam Dexter each scored six points to help the Eagles win an Eastern B game at Alfond Arena in Orono on Thursday night.

Cunningham had three goals and three assists; Dexter had two goals and four assists.

James Varney also scored for Messalonskee (7-1-0).

Connor McKaig had two goals to lead Orono (2-6-1).
