WATERVILLE — Eric Beaulieu made a big steal in overtime and finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Colby College men’s basketball team beat the University of Maine at Farmington 66-63 on Tuesday.
Beaulieu finished 7 for 11 from the field and added three assists, two blocks and two steals for Colby (6-11).
Ben Foreman chipped in with 11 points and six assists, while Kyle Donovan had 10 points and nine rebounds.
Maranacook graduate Kevin Leary had 19 points, including five 3-pointers for UMF (9-7). Pet Sumner had 16 points and Yusuf Iman added 15.
Women’s basketball
Colby 56, Regis 52: Rachael Mack had 16 points, six rebounds and five assists as the mules won a non-conference game in Waterville.
Mack was 7 for 10 from the floor and also had two blocked shots for Colby (13-3). Diana Manduca added 11 points, four assists and four steals, while Jil Vaughan had nine points, five rebounds and three blocks.
Claire Ramonas had 21 points for Regis (12-4).
