AUGUSTA — A Bucksport woman was taken to the hospital Thursday after a car crash on Eastern Avenue.

Deborah McAllian, 60, was taken to MaineGeneral Medical Center with non-life threatening head injuries caused when the airbag deployed, said Augusta Police Sgt. Christopher Shaw.

The driver of the second car, Richard Brown, 61, of Augusta, was not injured, Shaw said.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. as McAllian was driving her 2006 Honda CRV west on Eastern Avenue and she attempted to turn left into Dead River. Brown, driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla, turned left out of Dead River and the cars collided, Shaw said.
