WATERVILLE — Ashley Gagne scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Waterville Senior High School girls basketball team picked up a key Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B win, beating Winslow 34-33 on Saturday.

The Panthers, who improve to 8-6, outscored the Raiders (7-7) 13-10 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.

Lauren Crane added six points and 10 rebounds, while Colleen O’Donnell had five points and seven steals for Waterville.

Elizabeth Ferry had 15 points and Jordyn Pomerleau 12 for Winslow.

Messalonskee 38, Lawrence 32: Kassi Michaud had 11 points and six rebounds to spark the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Megan Pelletier added six points and 13 rebounds for Messalonskee (10-4) while Mikayla Turner chipped in with seven points and seven rebounds.

Danielle Spaulding scored 11 points for Lawrence (2-12).

Rangeley 71, Forest Hills 40: Taylor Esty scored 34 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Lakers beat the Tigers in an East-West Conference game in Rangeley.

Jenney Abbott added 18 points, 20 rebounds and five assists for Rangeley (12-1). Emily Carrier had five assists and four points.

Keely Taylor had nine points for Forest Hills (9-4).

Vinalhaven 45, Valley 32: Eliza Davidson scored 13 points and Izza Drury added 12 to lead the Vikings to the East/West Conference win in Bingham.

Hali McQuilkin led the Cavaliers with 10 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks while Teagan Laweryson added nine points, four asissts and three steals.

Vinlahaven is 9-6, Valley is 4-11.

Nokomis 63, Mt. View 33: Marissa Shaw and Anna Mackenzie both scored 13 points as the Warriors beat the Mustangs in a KVAC B game in Newport.

Traci Carson added eight points for Nokomis (14-0).

Janelle Thornley led all scorers with 20 points for Mt. View (1-14).

Mt. Blue 30, Hampden 26: Miranda Nicely scored 11 points as the Cougars beat the Broncos in a KVAC B game in Farmington.

Corinne Dingley added five points and seven rebounds, while Nicely grabbed five boards for Mt. Blue (9-5). Amy Hilton added five assists.

Jordan Maxwell and Ashley Danforth each had 11 points for Hampden (8-6).

Spruce Mountain 31, Mt. Abram 22: Alexis Deering scored eight points as the Phoenix beat the Roadrunners in Salem.

Mikayla Luce and Tori Bean both scored six points for Mt. Abram (7-7).

Spruce Mountain is now 12-2.
