GARDINER — Students on the FIRST Robotic Team 4041 — The Iron Tiger at Gardiner Area High School will participate in the FIRST Robotics regional competition in March at Worcester Polytechincal Institute in Worcester, Mass.
Members are senior student Hongtau Wu; sophomore Harris Plaisted; and freshmen Tyler McCutcheon and Alex Santerre. Mentors are Paul Fowler, Marc Plaisted and Aaron Basford.
The team will spend six weeks designing and building an original robot for the competition, where they will compete against 31 other teams from the New England region. The team is sponsored by JCPenney and Fairchild Semiconductor.
