Women, Work, and Community has awarded mini-grants totaling $400 to two entrepreneurs, Sara Dostie of Healing Hands Holistic Wellness in Winthrop and Lynn Walkiewicz of River Dog Designs in West Gardiner.
Grant money will be used for their marketing efforts and business expansion.
Two more rounds of grants will be awarded. The next deadline for applications is Feb. 17. Businesses with four or less employees in Kennebec or Somerset counties are welcome to apply. Grants must support marketing and promotion and must be matched by a 25% contribution from the applicants.
