TEMPLE — The members of Giddy Up & Go 4-H Horse Club are asking for hay, equine supplies or monetary donations for The Double B Equine Rescue. The fifth annual Hay Raiser will be Saturday morning.
Anything horse related that could help the non-profit shelter would be appreciated. The Double B Equine Rescue takes in abandoned, abused and neglected horses and has 18 horses at the shelter.
The organization started Hay Raisers for Double B in 2008, the club was formed short after. This is the fifth annual effort by the club.
Members will pickup donations throughout the week or Saturday morning. To make a donation, call Janine Winn at 778-3856 or email j9sfarm@myfairpoint.net. Checks can be made out to Double B Equine Rescue and can be mailed to the club at P.O. Box 518, Temple, ME 04984.
