ITHACA, N.Y. — Junior guard Kaitlin Donahoe scored a team-high 20 points and hit a clutch second half basket as the Bowdoin College women’s basketball team beat the University of Southern Maine 75-68 in the NCAA Division III National Championship tournament Friday night.

Bowdoin improves to 20-7 and advances to play at 7 tonight against a to-be determined opponent. USM ends the season 21-7.

Amy Hackett added 14 points, while Jill Henrikson added 12 points and seven rebounds for Bowdoin.

Courtney Cochran had 20 points and 17 rebounds for USM. Nicole Garland added 17 points.
