After learning that Donald Sussman, husband of Chellie Pingree, our U.S. congresswoman, has invested $4 million in your paper, I felt a spiritual calm come over me.
No longer will I question if your staff writers slant the news or wonder why many of your opinions, editorial cartoons and Bill Nemitz’s opinions on the front page of the local section are left of center.
Yes, all that is behind us now. Because now, with Sussman on your board of directors, there can be only one way forward and that would be hard left. I eagerly await your endorsements of Chellie Pingree, Hanna Pingree and a full slate of Democratic candidates.
