Ah, the deep snows of Maine winter are back. How I’ve missed the snow. Snow-white, pure-white, angel-white snow. I rushed out, early morn, longing to see what I have missed since Mother Earth was a year younger.

“Ah! There it is!” Radiating from inside only the deepest snows is that magical, marvelous, miraculous ocean-blue luminescence that brings awe to my soul. A “secret-coded message” from the creator of the universe, boldly declaring, quietly whispering to those who will hear, “I am in charge here. From everlasting to everlasting, throughout all eons of time, I am God. Everything in nature is my creation (so don’t mess it up).”

While shoveling ourselves out on the next big snowfall, we should take a moment to rest. Drop to our knees into the soft, deep snow. Peer down into the whiteness, and be amazed by that miraculous blue luminescence. It is God’s pure light radiating from within. Embrace the secret-coded message. It will emanate warmth to our souls on a cold, Maine winter day.
