FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network will host Summer Scrub Club Camp from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 25-29 at the Ben Franklin Center at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Participants will be introduced to careers in health care. It is open to all students entering grades eight through 12.
A sampling of careers may include physical therapy and sports medicine, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, anesthesiology, cardiopulmonary, orthopedics, medical lab science, mental health counseling and emergency medical services.
Participates can experience hands-on activities and demonstrations such as X-ray interpretation, casting, suturing and emergency response to a mock accident. Campers will receive certification in Heartsaver CPR.
To apply online, visit franklinahec.org/programs-and-events. Applications are available at the education office at Franklin Memorial Hospital by calling 779-2381. There is a $50 registration fee and spaces are limited. Applications must be received by Sunday, April 1.
