SKOWHEGAN — A wine, beer and food tasting event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall.

Participants have the choice to sample South American wines, Oak Pond Brewery beers and specialty dishes from local eateries.

Tickets cost $10 per person and are available at the Skowhegan Chamber of Commerce or from a Rotarian. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Proceeds will benefit fuel assistance for elderly and local scholarships. Participants must be 21 or older to attend this event.

Community participants will be: 201 Market, Al’s Pizza, Heritage House, Ken’s Restaurant, M Thai Restaurant, West Front Market and Whit’s End Grill & Pub.
