Last week, the second grade at the George Mitchell School performed in a concert, “Everybody Smiles in the Same Language.”

The students and their teachers should be commended for the great performance. It showed that a lot of time had been spent in preparation for the event.

The concert was well attended by parents and friends, and we left the auditorium knowing that these children are learning about the meaning of diversity in our country and how to share that diversity in a meaningful way.
