AUBURNDALE, Fla. — Nick Gerzatis went 6 for 9 to power Worcester State to an 8-3, 8-4 doubleheaader sweep of the University of Southern Maine in college baseball action Thursdsay.
Gardiner graduate Forrest Chadwick collected two hits and to stolen bases in the first game while Anthony Pisani added a pair of hits for the Huskies.
Erskine graduate Nick Grady and Winthrop graduate David Ricker each had a hit for USM (5-3).
Wooster 14, Colby 2: The Mules allowed 10 runs in the final three innings in a loss in Fort Myers, Fla.
Nik Atsalis had a two hits, including a double for Colby (3-5). Connor Sullivan pitched into the seventh inning for the Mules.
Thomas 5-5, Gustavus Adolphus 1-10: The Terriers split a pair of games in Mesa, Ariz,, Thursday to even their record at 3-3 on the western trip.
Thomas will take on Augsburg in a doubleheader today.
Softball
Thomas 4-0, St. Catherine 12-7: The Terriers dropped a doubleheader in Clermont, Fla, Thursday to fall to 2-4 for the season. They play Lawrence and Manchester in a pair of games today.
