I am writing in regards to a bill that would have supported Caylee’s Law. The bill, however, was rejected and I do not feel this is fair.
How many more children are going to be subjected to parents or whomever taking their lives and nothing is done about it.
To me this was an important bill about protecting children and keeping them safe. Unlike Casey Anthony, who did not keep her child safe.
If they can pass a bill about drunken drivers killing someone, which I have no objection to, they ought to pass this law for little ones who cannot defend themselves from adults.
What if this had been one of our lawmakers’ children or grandchildren? Would a bill be passed then? I am sure it would. Who’s going to protect these little ones, if we don’t have a law protecting them?
Who’s protecting them now?
