PHILLIPS — Phillips Elementary School recently announced its second trimester honor roll.

BANGOR — U.S. Department of Agriculture recently announced that federal funding is available for Maine forest landowners to assist with forest land planning and management under the New England-New York Forestry Initiative. Funding is available through the Environmental Quality Incentives Program. Maine is one of seven states participating in this special initiative.

SOUTH CHINA — Marissa Bovie of Vassalboro, a senior at Erskine Academy, was selected to receive the 2012 Principal’s Award. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.
