BANGOR — A Bangor woman has pleaded not guilty to murder in the stabbing death of her boyfriend.

Fifty-three-year-old Gail Judd was indicted by a grand jury on March 28 for intentional or knowing murder in the death of 47-year-old Michael Drouin. Drouin was found dead on Judd’s bedroom floor on Feb. 22 with a stab wound to his chest.

Police say she told neighbors she stabbed Drouin in self-defense after he raped her.

The Bangor Daily News reports that last month a judge ordered Judd to undergo a psychological evaluation to determine if she’s competent to stand trial.
