This is in reply to the letter written by Stan Davis on March 25 regarding Sen. Susan Collins’ support of the Blunt amendment, which would have overturned the part of Barack Obama’s regulation that required faith-based organizations to pay for health insurance that covers contraceptives, abortion pills and sterilization.
I am happy that Davis was classified a conscientious objector, and I am sorry he has to pay taxes for war, which is against his belief.
The Catholic religion wants the same treatment. We all pay taxes that are used by our government to pay for atrocities performed at abortion clinics (Planned Parenthood), which we strongly oppose.
Davis should be careful; he also could lose his conscientious objector status.
