City employee Benjamin Moore puts a coat of fresh white paint on the rocks spelling out “Welcome To Augusta” on Friday morning. It takes about ten gallons of water-based paint to freshen up the letters near the corner of Water and Green Streets.The sign, across from the Hartford Fire Station. is visible from the Memorial Bridge and usually gets painted twice a year.
