The Maine Environmental Education Association has presented the Kennebec Land Trust with an Excellence in Environmental Education Program Award.

The trust was recognized for its work with landowners and communities to conserve lands in central Maine, support sustainable forestry and farming and to educate the public about the natural world.

The award was presented at the MEEA annual conference, held March 23 at the Chewonki Foundation in Wiscasset.
