WATERVILLE — A man stabbed twice in the back early Sunday on Spring Street remained at Maine Medical Center in Portland Monday and police are continuing to investigate the attack, according to Deputy police Chief Charles Rumsey.
Michael Reed, 26, of Waterville was struck on the head with a piece of wood and stabbed in the back during a fight around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, police said.
No arrests had been made in the case as of early Monday evening, Rumsey said. Detective Alan Perkins is investigating the case, tracking down witnesses and interviewing those involved, according to Rumsey.
“He needs to interview Mr. Reed,” he said. “We’ve got some good leads that we’re following up on.”
