Melissa Corey, a cook at Duckfat in Portland, won last night’s episode of “Chopped” and took home $10,000.

A cooking competition that airs on the Food Network, each episode of ‘Chopped” challenges four chefs to use mystery ingredients to create a three-course meal judged by a panel of experts. One chef is “chopped” from the competition after each course.

Corey is the second Mainer to win on this reality TV show. Her boss Rob Evans, who is a James Beard winner and the former owner of Hugo’s, won on the show in October 2011.
