Guardsmen with the Waterville-based 11th Civil Support Team of the Maine National Guard decontaminate hazardous material suits Thursday at the former Cony High School in Augusta. The 22 full-time airmen and soldiers who support civilian emergency workers were being evaluated by the Army, according to the unit’s commander, Col. Gerald Dunlap. The team is one of 57 across the country trained to respond to biological or chemical attacks, Dunlap said.
