The following candidates are seeking to represent central Maine communities in the state Senate and House of Representatives. Primary elections on June 12 will determine Democratic and Republican nominees in contested races, who will then appear on the Nov. 6 general election ballot.
There are no Green Independents running in the central Maine area. Unenrolled candidates have until June 1 to submit signatures to appear on the November general election ballot. They must submit a minimum 50 signatures if they are running for the House and 200 for the Senate, according to the Department of the Secretary of State.
