A week ago I encountered a mother, father and two little boys in a store.

The younger boy was chanting “You’re a boy, and you like boys” over and over again to the older boy. The mother ignored this bullying and continued shopping, the father smiled as if he thought it was hilarious, his older son covered his head as he rode in shame in the shopping cart.

The younger boy was 4, maybe 5 years of age. Does he understand what he is chanting loudly in the store in front of other people? I doubt it.

Was it those mean homosexuals who taught him that phrase? I also doubt that. People are not born ignorant; they are raised that way.

Are you laughing at that obese woman over there? Well, guess what? She’s laughing at you because you’re hiding your identity under an inch of makeup and two years of dyed hair.

Are you making fun of that African American, the one wearing a hoodie and so he must be a thug? Well, guess what? He’s making fun of you because the “gansta” pose you’re doing is just plain stupid and he thinks you need to pull up your pants.

How about that mom bragging about how smart her kid is? Oh wait, his face is pressed up against his handheld computer game screen and he just totally ignored what she just said to him.

It’s not God, or the Devil, or Joe from Kokomo. It is us, the human race. We have emotions. We are the ones who hate. Just because you hate something does not mean it is wrong; it simply means you think it’s wrong. You have no right to judge or bully, no matter who or what you are.
